The way the Ryan character has shaped out though, is that despite his obv. flaws, he has had plenty of oppportunity to turn on the team or certain indivs. in it to cover his own ass and when it came down to it, he did the honorable thing.. So I don't know..

The idea that Ryan killed Hector is pretty retarded in my view. totally goes against the Ryan character
I think they just chose that as a way to re-introduce the Ryan Tiffi relationship...I think it made Hector's death a bit of a shock given most viewers would assume him knowing about Ryan/Tiff would be a upcoming storyline.

This was much more of a shock given it seemed either A  they made it out or b at worst Betty Blue would die which the audience had kind of prepared itself for. Hector dying was basically how it is in real life probably...bang bang...man down.

In pretty much every respect, he's a stand-up guy, who cares deeply about his Unit and the men in his unit. No way a man in that position has an affair with the wife of one of his men.
