Default Quick one

Stars 25-50 villain has 4k stack i cover

Villain limps utg, i raise with ajdd in mid position. Four total callers.

Flop js 6d 4d, villain checks i bet out 550 into 750 pots, two other players fold villain flat calls. Turn k of clubs...

Villain checks with 3500 behind and pot of 1800. What is my line?

no read on villain other than he was a short stack artist and i tried to bluff him with absolute air in another pot

i check behind here and value bet most blank rivers when checked to

that is the problem with the hand, because basically if i bet the turn i am basically betting 3500, because no way i can fold to a push.

But basically what i am getting is that there is no use in trying to extract more value from this hand? I had no idea what to put him on. The king was scary because it looked like he was drawing and if he was drawing to king high flush i was in bad shape.

i'd check, not so much for fear of being behind althuogh it is possible villain is slowplaying a set. his limp/call pf kinda leads to a small pair. or a suited connector. if he has a lower flush draw the last thing you want to do is get him to fold his hand. of course he can have K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] but that's 1 combo of cards that beat us. i would call most river bets on blanks. i think 57 is also a possibility.

I think a bet is really bad, especially a push. You make the most out of this situation when he has a worse FD and you both make it on the river. By pushing you force him to fold it.
So just check.
