Default $60 -$60 - AQ 3 handed with a short stack

Didn't really wanna bust out in 3rd with the guy to my left having 1.5 BB, so I called hoping he'd move in and we could knock him out. Am I better off just shoving preflop here? What I'm most worried about is having the shortstack fold and the bigstack calls with 55 or KJ and knocks me out.

I like a call here. Position is good. I think this would be very close in terms of EV, possibly being negative. ICM experts will be able to give you specifics in that area.

IMO you played it right. NH.

You have enough chips that pushing preflop is ok.

AQ is too good. Just push.

I thought limping would be ok. Do you ever limp this or just push everytime?

Does it have a positive expectation with SS being on the way out?

So what's the plan after you limp? You calling if the BB moves in? I'd just go all-in.

I'm not sure how wide you think SB is calling but if calling ranges are as follows:
SB 60%
BB 100%

it's still +EV.
