id rather just call his flop bet and tangle on fourth street. there i can call or fold depending on what i think. and get a cheap shot at the nuts to make 9,000.

This particular day Jimmy was playing rather lag.

Of course you're the best judge since you were there, but are you sure about this?

One of the first things I noticed when I started reading this forum is how quick you guys are to extrapolate from very small data sets, specifically preflop raising/reraising frequency.

Most decent non-tilted players play very close to a fixed strategy preflop. They may think they are wiley and unpredictable because they sometimes reraise 98s and sometimes don't, but basically they play a given hand in a given preflop situation the same way like 90+% of the time.

So when a player you know to be fairly solid raises 3 times in a row, it's a lot more likely he actually just caught 3 raising hands than that he's "playing laggy" or "going crazy" or whatever. IMO.

Of course your opinion may have been 100% well-founded and correct... just making a general observation.

it's so sick that jimmy gets the action he does just because of how he looks, everyone thinks he's so crazy and capable of moves.
