I don't like the way you played this. Gobbo, what were your goals for this hand? I would overbet the flop, that way he only calls with a K and folds everything else. I might just open shove preflop to avoid having anybody call and flop an A or K on me.

Even though you butchered this hand, your river call is expert. QQ wins about an average of 12bbs a hand, and if you called then you either won or lost 12bbs. Since our average profit for QQ is 12bbs, then you more than likely won this hand so it was an +EV call. You really should try some dark checks, like Phil Hellmuth does. In case you don't know who he is, here is a picture.

He has also won 11 bracelets, even more than Doyle Bruson and Johnny Chan.

flip a coin on the river, if it lands on edge fold because of the backdoor hearts or whatever

otherwise I think it's totally standard

better question: if the river is a 2x, how much do you call?

Call river because the ace a great bluff card for him especially after he checked turn.

how can you be a nit when you called the river? a true nit would fold the river, would they not (heck some absolute nits would fold the flop, heck there is an over to your Q)

ill add the more you respect his game and the better a player you think he is the more its a call. the less you respect his game or the more unknown he is i would lean towards folding.
