Default (OT) Pushbotting Question, probably dumb.

Let's say you're heads up, and you give sngpt the scenario, and it tells you push 100% of hands..

Against an opponent who knows you know, etc.. He will open up his range significantly , right? He can therefore pick a range, and play accordingly... I'm not sure what the point is that he should call at, i'm guessing somewhere around Q8 or so.

However, if you throw in a few folds, now, it may be difficult for him determine the range where he has to start calling..

ok, was this dumb?

I think I get what you're saying. You're saying that instead of pushing 32o, you need to fold 32o because villian knows you'll push hands like 32o so villian will call with hands that he really shouldn't.

So a post that asks a question about game theory is retarded and deserving of sarcasm?

Nope, this is not dumb, but to our colleagues, this is "obvious."

What you're noting is that SNGPT's response is based upon your estimate of villain's calling range. Your realization is that the villain, having put you on a wider push range, will change his range accordingly.

One fun thing to do is to see things from the villain's perspective in SNGPT, put the wide push range in, and find out what you should call with.

With this experiment, you'll find that your original estimate for villain's call range may be too tight.

The full punch line is that the push ranges are very dynamic. If a villain thinks you're tight, you can push more, and vice versa. So you constantly have to be playing the "what does he think right now" game (and pray that he doesn't have a monster .
