Well it took about 5 days but all the Absolute regs are back.

GG Absolute, you got away with it.

There are three possible outcomes to this, and two are bad:

1) Absolute found the hole, fixed it, and of course can't admit it. This is the good one.

2) Absolute is in on it, but some rogue person inside or recent fire-ee got greedy. Absolute and friends (Seif) will continue to take a pot every now and then ad infinitum.

3) Absolute really thinks nothing happened, other than maybe some chip dumping that they don't understand. Is this even possible? Could they be that clueless? Seems unlikely. These guys had to have folded a set to a small bet on the river, or something similar at least once. Unless Absolute actually just didn't look that hard at the actual hands. Which is possible I guess.

I'm guessing no one has seen either the cheaters or the dumpees playing again, or probably ever will. I also have a feeling if it isn't an inside job, and Absolute seized the cheaters' funds, they would probably come on here and out Absolute out of spite.

Man I would like to know the whole truth someday.

Rather than being a superuser account, is there any possibility ha someone could have cracked the RNG insofar as only the initial part of the deal goes? It was said at one point the cheater would sit out from time to time. Could it be he would have to sit out when there were not nine players at the table, because anything less and his calculations would be off?

He won the 1k tournament calling an all-in on the turn with ten high heads-up. I'm pretty sure he can see the cards.

[/ QUOTE ]
That's pretty much what I said, but the method is what I was talking about. How about it. Anyone that witnessed his play. Did he sit out when there was less than 9 players?

What I am getting at is that there is no such thing as a truely random number generator. A rng can be seeded using time or some other "random" event. If AP were dumb enough to use the hand number and/or time the hand started, something which would be available to every player, all it would take is to figure out the rng and apply it. It's beyond my capabilities, but here are some pretty smart math people out here.
But, for any consistancy, you'd have to have the same number of players every time. Any player sitting out and not getting cards would mess it up as well.

some of the assumptions used for modelling the case seem strange/incorrect.

Well you're right, and you don't need a deep understanding when some of the big flaws are in the premises.

I'll be honest, I haven't read every post in this newest thread, but what i've seen there hasn't been an attempt to unify the data. People are getting mathematically longwinded here with calculations that don't factor in EVERY PT stat. It takes an understanding of poker, not statistics, to grasp this.

Anybody that knows pokertracker well can see something isn't right with even a cursory glance at the data.

is there one PT database anywhere that has the largest practicable record of the cheater's hands?

i know there are a few floating around with a hundred hands here and there, but is there anywhere that they've been collated together? does adanthar have anyhting?

aaaanndd why should I feel any safer on FTP or PS? I really don't think its in abso's best interest for this to continue, and if they were doing it before.... fine w/e. As long as I'm running at 6ptbb/100 and DOUBLEDRAG [censored] doesn't happen again, I'll be fine with that.

Frankly, I don't give a [censored] if they are cheating, as long as I'm making 30-50k a month.

Ding.

Which is why I asked: who exactly are the math/stats elements being debated for?
