To clarify, by "a lot of things" you mean "a long-ago blog post that has now been recanted by the author of that post"?

[/ QUOTE ]

i have'nt seen this post, i guess that changes a lot, what it doesn't change is that seif is the most visable owner of absolute. He at the very least has a lot of questions to answer about his company if something like this can happen

[ QUOTE ]
I suspect there are:
x many disgruntled ex-employees
y many dodgy current employees
z many hackers across the world who could do this
a many people who accidentally stumbled upon it
b many people with other opportunities that i can't think of off the top of my head.

[/ QUOTE ]

y is the only one of these who could have done this for this long, if shaundeeb can get locked for winning to much at blackjack on UB then how does someone win this much at the highest stakes games on their site and not get looked at unless someone is looking the other way?

no more and no less than other management + directors.

i don't have that much faith in AP's security systems.

i've read on here a number of people who have won at BJ and subsequently had their accounts locked; in that shaun deeb thread alone, i think.

it is possible (indeed, likely) that they have some stop/loss lock on BJ, but not for poker. this is feasible, since the house is not losing the money in poker, but is losing the money at bj.

[ QUOTE ]
Are they a publicly traded company?

[/ QUOTE ]
I understand that they are privately owned.

[ QUOTE ]
Does their stock drop because of this?

[/ QUOTE ]
It would certainly have to affect the value of their business, which partly consists of the value of their brand and player base.

" I'm just curious how this will all shake out."

no gets reimbursed.

games continue on absolute.

blatant cheating accts disappear.

the only real question is if the cheaters reappear and if they are recognizable next time.
