Question for sippin

YOu have flopped an absolute monster that no one has suspected, or anticipated. Seems as though everyone has put you on AA KK QQ, ie an overpair. WHy then bet the whole pot when, ideally, you want everyone to call?

If you have 1200 in your stack, and 1000 on the table, with no flush draws at yet, then why not get your money into the table in chunks? ie a standard 500 cbet, or maybe even 300cbet? then, on the turn, bet another 400 or so?

What if someone has hit top two pair, or a small set? they may be waiting to craise you, but got scared off by your shove?

ps im just kinda learning this game, but it seems as though the implied odds of these straights in particular get paid off much better if you bet in chunks, while still denying your opponents their correct odds for drawing

i think that the reason he shoves because:

a) any bet he makes on such a ragged board is only going to be called by strong hands, even if he bets small a whiffed hand is prolly not going to call, on the other hand a strong hand will call a much larger bet, so just let your opponent make the biggest mistake possible. the overpairs you mentioned are not folding on this board; two pair aren't and neither are sets so there is no need to chunk the bets.

b) he knows that he's playing with lagtards who will call all-ins w/a-high, etc. etc.

call preflop, fold flop.
preflop = setmining, and/or cbet favorable flop.
post flop = get out of way. looks more like a 2 pair, set...

Wouldn't take much of a read to convince me to call a ragged flop push with QQ overpair - then again i still fish at party, and then again, this isn't exactly a ragged flop.
