No one in my life has anything to offer.

What are you offering to others? If you want to attract love into your life, be a loving person. In life, you attract something by becoming it. I realize it sounds cliche, but it is true.

[/ QUOTE ]

Very, very true.

I paste some passages found in the book The Idiot by dostoyevsky that I think are relevant. They may not be.

cliff notes for those who cant be bothered:

Most people are average but happy because they are not aware of their limitations.
You are a bit more intelligent than the average but not enough to be remarkable.
Your above average intelligence makes you aware of your condition thus making you unhappy.

[ QUOTE ]

There is nothing so annoying as to be fairly rich, of a fairly
good family, pleasing presence, average education, to be "not
stupid," kind-hearted, and yet to have no talent at all, no
originality, not a single idea of one's own--to be, in fact,
"just like everyone else."

Of such people there are countless numbers in this world--far
more even than appear. They can be divided into two classes as
all men can--that is, those of limited intellect, and those who
are much cleverer. The former of these classes is the happier.

To a commonplace man of limited intellect, for instance, nothing
is simpler than to imagine himself an original character, and to
revel in that belief without the slightest misgiving.

Many of our young women have thought fit to cut their hair short,
put on blue spectacles, and call themselves Nihilists. By doing
this they have been able to persuade themselves, without further
trouble, that they have acquired new convictions of their own.

Our friend, Gania, belonged to the other class--to the "much
cleverer" persons, though he was from head to foot permeated and
saturated with the longing to be original. This class, as I have
said above, is far less happy. For the "clever commonplace"
person, though he may possibly imagine himself a man of genius
and originality, none the less has within his heart the deathless
worm of suspicion and doubt; and this doubt sometimes brings a
clever man to despair. (As a rule, however, nothing tragic
happens;--his liver becomes a little damaged in the course of
time, nothing more serious. Such men do not give up their
aspirations after originality without a severe struggle

Gania was a beginner, as it were, upon this road. A deep and
unchangeable consciousness of his own lack of talent, combined
with a vast longing to be able to persuade himself that he was
original, had rankled in his heart, even from childhood.

I was in a very similar place 18 months ago. It took a while, but I realized that if things stayed like they were I was going to completely lose my ability to take joy from life.

Think back to your dreams when you were younger. See if you can still pursue them. For example, if you were into astronomy, explore the possibilities of getting and using a telescope. If you like hiking, think about taking some time off to hike the PCT or AT. Why not learn an instrument? Or take up running (very good activity for both getting healthier/ happier and meeting athletic, friendly women!).

The best way of pulling yourself out of a funk is to set positive, realistic goals for yourself and work to make them come true. Many people in this thread are recommending that you "get help," but it's not a magic bullet. You, and you alone are responsible for creating your own happiness. Getting help is fine, but you need to know what you're getting help for.

The worst thing you can do is despair. It's a recipe for prolonging your misery, so stop doing it. Instead, create the life you want for yourself. It's never too late to pursue your dreams. Good luck!
