BBV: Speeding Ticket (help me BBV4L)
beat: got a speeding ticket, was doing 51 in a 35
brag: cop only ticketed me for doing 40, and let me slide on my expired tags variance: I wrote letter asking them to waive the ticket (hey it doesnt hurt to try, also this was out of town so i couldnt go to court). now heres where i need your help, BBV they sent me a letter saying they will either reduce my penalty amount to $80 (from $101), OR they will keep the $101 but not put the violation on my record, and assuming I don't get another ticket within the next year, it will not be put on my record. this is my first ever ticket, not sure how these things affect insurance or other things. EDIT: this was an out of state ticket |

Re: BBV: Speeding Ticket (help me BBV4L)
I got a ticket on June 2nd. It said, "appear in court within 30 days". I called the courthouse on july 2nd and they told me my ticket still wasnt in the system and that when it was i would get a courtesy notice telling me when to appear. I still havent gotten one. Isnt there like, some kind of time limit on how long this can be dragged on? I thought we were like legally given 60 days between arrest and trial or something? Help please!

this is the way its gonna be if you dont pay your fine [/image] [/ QUOTE ] thats the thing. I asked them how much my fine was and they didnt know because it wasnt in the system. i said "umm, then how am i supposed to pay within 30 days?" they said i had 30 days from when i recieve the notice in the mail, whereas my ticket says 30 days from the date of citation. you would think they could get this right by now. |

Dude pay the $101 for sure if you trust them to leave it off your record.
