Bottom pair faces turn donk in rr pot
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)
SB: $201.00 BB: $337.05 UTG: $335.75 Hero (BTN): $197.00 Reads: Villain is 42/28 over about 70 hands. He's been opening a lot and has been pretty active preflop, but has slowed down to aggression. I've been pretty tight, haven't been involved in a lot of pots, big or small, and this is the first time I've reraised any of his CO opens. Thoughts on all streets appreciated, as well as how to respond to this dinky donk. Preflop: Hero is dealt 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players) UTG raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $21.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $15.00 Flop: ($45) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG checks, Hero bets $33.00, UTG calls $33.00 Turn: ($111) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG bets $26.00, |

Re: Bottom pair faces turn donk in rr pot
I would definitely fold. At best he just has a flush or open ended straight which still has a little equity against you. But really, is he calling the flop with total air with the plan to bet into a preflop 3-bettor on the turn?
I don't think so. No brainer fold. Wait for a better spot. Oh BTW I don't mind your preflop 3bet, as long as you aren't going to felt if you get called. For one you can find out whether he's going to fold any of his range to 3 bets, and for two it loosens up your image so that if you do pick up kings or aces he might stack off with top pair or some kind of draw. |
