Scariest Games Ever

I thought F.E.A.R played on a solid computer that could handle it was like playing a scary movie.

I'd say Silent Hill is the most scariest series of games ever.

Has anyone else played the Fatal Frame Series? I get scared by SH and Resident Evil (not so much 4 however), but these games literally had me jumping out of my seat lots. I'm not sure they are really well known however. I think Tecmo made them.

OMG I think you and I are the only two people to have ever played that game lol. But yeah that game scared the crap out of me and also frustrated me to no end, I never ended up beating that one.

You're not the only one who couldn't finish that game! Some of those puzzles were just insane.

GodJR is spot on, System Shock II was [censored] creepy.

I thought Doom III and FEAR were pretty decent, and Stalker hit it in certain points too.

The top two that stand out are The Suffering and Clive Barker's Undying. The latter of which I actually pussed out of playing like 6 years ago. Only time I've ever done that.

I just recently started playing console games so I've never gotten the whole Resident Evil/Silent Hill experience unfortunately.

NOTHING is scarier than the Fatal Frame series. Bar none. Turn the light off and play it by yourself, then prepare to change your drawers.

Yeah I'm with the others on this.

The original Silent Hill, when you make it to the first indoor area, the creepy abandoned school and you are walking around in the dark other than your tiny little flashlight... ya that was very stressful.

That's one of my favorite games, but not scary in my opinion. It's more like "WTF is going on" rather than "oh [censored] that thing is going to eat me"

Mine is Heretic for old school PC. The chanting in the background along with all the demon backgrounds made me jump more than a few times.

Thief 3 for PC. If anyone's played it, there's one ridiculously creepy part: the dolls in the haunted insane asylum/hospital.

Anyone remember?
