Default A hand from LAG-land

This is a hand from a swedish forum, where most players are LAG:s. Everyone thought Hero played great and the only discussion was about if hero should raise river or not. What do you think?

""$5/10 I sit down at a table with three players where all are very tight. I have a loose and crazy style and quickly start to pick up a lot of small pots. och när jag sedan hittar Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the button I get a player to Tilt hard. It's capped preflop and postflop and when to board finally shows T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I crack villains K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] the whole table is doing a "Phil Helmuth" and tilts over and gets even tighter!

A couple of hands later the following happens:

UTG folds. I found 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button and raise, SB 3-bets, BB folds and I cap.

The flop is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and SB bets, I raise hand villain calls.

Turn 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He checks I bet and he calls.

River 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB bets and I?"

Everyone at the LAG-forum thought that the preflop cap was a brilliant move to buy "foldequity" and that villains range is very wide bc he just tries to get BB out. What do you think when you see a hand like this.

lol. Nobody with half a brain will fold anything to this guy after watching him play for 10 minutes.

More lol. I don't see how villains range can factor into this at all when we have a bottom 10% hand.

I think that these guys must be from another planet. But I hate them as well because they continually pull stupid moves like c/r flop w/one overcard, bet/3betting an underpair to the board etc and then getting there.

They can be annoying, but reading theirs posts teach us something about how they think.

Lol, I think I should join this site and encourage this play. These kind of hands remind me of how I grew a quick bankroll out of $100 playing the low limits on Party Poker.

Gvasa.

Feel free to link.

Also, do you know if these guys use PT? If they do, do they ever talk about their results?

BTW I see none of the swedish players at party midstakes make this play. Pretty much every swede there is a strong lagtag. Pls ban poker in sweden? kthxbye

I know a lot of them don't use PT and n, they never talk results. When I argued in a hand that villain shouldn't play like that with his stats, I got the comment "you know that PT-stats has nothing to do with reality?"

Feel free to join the discussions Oink pokerforum

Since Swedish government instead of banning online-poker like in the USA, they started their own site and makes a fortune I think a swedish ban on online-poker is far far away. And also the only Casinos allowed in Sweden are runned by the government so they make even more money from gambling.

Only one other poster on that forum as much as commented the preflop play:

Han cappar i position mot en weak(?)tight(!) spelare, inget konstigt med det. Köper sig lite fold equity.

which rougly translates to:

He's capping in position against a weak(?)tight(!) player, nothing weird about that. Buying himself a bit of fold equity.

Interesting assumption that everybody thought it was great.
