Default Quick Question about cold-calling

What is everyone's cold-call frequency? Express it as X cold-calls per 1000 hands.

Mine is ~.9/1000

Just curious if I CC too much.

Wow, I feel like a high school math teacher. And that's not a good feeling.

point 9 per 1000? you mean 0.0009% ? If that is true you are really missing some good winning hands.

I'm at 7.7% and win .02 per hand or 2BB/100 when I cold call out of 58,000 hands 2/4 and above.

it's 0.9%, .9/100. i've got to think that 2/4 is the last place you can cold call this much, unless you're really good postflop (in which case you can and probably should). i've seen anywhere from 0.0 to 1.5, even 2.0 occasionally, among opponents I think are good. OP, I like your number... mine is too low, something like 0.2 or 0.3. IMO there definitely is value in cold calling in certain situations. I'm actually trying to figure out when that is. very strange.

You really cold call more in 2/4 because the raising hands are so poor and there are so many players in the hands.

Butt and CO AKs to AJs KQs QJs AKo
if 3 or more players in the hand any pocket pairs and JTs

2,3,4 off the button AKs to AJs KQs AKo

early AKs to AJs AKo

with good post flop play that will get you 2BB/100 on those hands. . .at least it does for me.

What kinds of hands are you cold-calling.

I agree that hands become more profitable, but not that many. I CC almost PP's exclusively, with sometimes an AQs, AJs, or KQs. But the conditions must be absolutely perfect, with a LAG raising and a ton of LP's cold-calling.

unless I'm reading the stats wrong

69249 hands
CCPF = 537

537/69249= 0.00775

heck - just 77 and 88 I cold call with 3 or more players 0.9% of the time.

It is in ring game stats. Go to the bottom, and look at CCP. I think that's right, I'm playing now, so it may be wrong. I'll check after I'm done to make sure.
