So Beckham is suppose to make his MLS league debut this sunday. Looks like the game is on ESPN2 at 4:30PM PST.

Game is vs. Toronto, could be crackin.

Getting pretty furious with these crackpot TV commentators ripping on Beckham, the league, and the sport in general. God forbid the guy who's getting paid a quarter billion dollars is hurt for the first THREE!!!! games he's supposed to play in the span of 4 years.

Seriously, all these [censored] on ESPN and writing articles calling Beckham "the biggest phony in sports history", or "the biggest letdown ever" should all go kill themselves now. This is like Randy Moss missing the first week of the season this year and being declared the "biggest flop in Patriots history"

everytime the Beckham cam honed in on him just sitting there chewing gum and watching the game, you never saw him conversing with teammates, coaches, trainers, etc??

why no signs of commroderie, no interaction with members of your team/organization?? is Becks standoffish or are the LA Galaxy benchwarmers shooed away by his bodyguards??

Saw an interview last night on FSC w/ Becks. He said he is getting along very well with his teammates. Who knows if its true, but I find it unlikely he would lie about that. He said he was hoping to be ready for the DCU game.

i have no reason to doubt Beckham but "unlikely that he would lie about that"??? C'mon, after all the hype and with all the money at stake, not to mention his reputation and legacy, Beckham is going to be the LAST person to be rocking the boat, especially this early ...

No bump for him playing against DCU? First MLS game action, McClaren was on hand to "see the quality of play in MLS" or something like that. About 47k fans on hand for the game.

DC went up 1-0 and held on to win by that score. Kyle Martino got sent off with a red in the 67th minute and Beckham came in shortly thereafter playing the last 20-25 minutes. He didn't seem to favor his ankle at all, and was moving very well. Looked a little rusty on some plays, but made a few very good passes including one free kick that almost led to a goal and another to Donovan that took a diving challenge from the keeper to stop a breakaway.

Hopefully he recovers well from today and is able to play again Sunday. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit it out since it's at NE which means it's on turf. I don't However, I would expect to see him play every game after that unless he reinjures it.
