starting micro stakes??

Is depositing $200 and playing micro (5,10NL) while I use proper bankroll management even worth it or should I just get a job and deposit a large amount to play like 50NL right off the back? ADVICE!

If you are inexperienced I'm sure the 50nl guys would love to have you. You should be grinding it out in the micros until you have about 500 dollars then you can move up to 25NL. When you double that you can move up again. If you are just starting you will prob lose your 200 dollar initial deposit, almost everyone else does too so dont feel bad. Just don't get impatient and try moving up too fast. The difference in the players at the 10NL and at the 50Nl is apples and oranges

ya I play in a .50/1 homegame and have seen about 2k profit this year, but im down about $800 online and I know its because my lack of bankroll management. I have heard people say the super micro limits online are impossible to beat conistently because of the like Q2 crazyness, just a lil lost [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Bad play = More money for you. I think rake is higher at micro limits (below 25NL) on Fulltilt, so I'd avoid that site to start.

IT's a great way to start because of the horrible playing. When I did NL I started out on .02/.05 with $100 then moved up to .05/.10NL in about 3 weeks. Didn't really care about playing enough hands because play imo is same up until NL50 pretty much. Now I'm grinding .50/1LHE and doing just fine.

deposit 500 and start at 25nl, unless you're really horrible, in which case go for 250 -> 10NL.

You can beat 25nl on Stars easy with simple ABC poker. IMO the 25 nl tables are easier than the lower micro limits.
