tOSU vs UF game day thread
Ok as a member of ESPN insider you get to look at this matchup thing and its shows what team has the advantage at QB ect. I found this to be very interesting. Keep in mind these are the reflections of the ESPN insider.
At QB the edge goes to tOSU At RB the edge goes to tOSU At WR the egde goes to UF At OL the edge goes to tOSU At DL the edge goes to UF At LB the edge goes to tOSU At DB the edge goes to UF At Special teams the edge goes to tOSU At Coaching the edge goes to tOSU Overall goes to UF How is tOSU getting the edge in 6 of the 9 areas and the overall edge goes to UF? Re: tOSU vs UF game day thread
WR edge to UF? Baker/Caldwell > Ginn/Gonzalez? Or is it just because they have more depth or something?

At QB the edge goes to tOSU At RB the edge goes to tOSU At WR the egde goes to UF huge joke, even with depth At OL the edge goes to tOSU At DL the edge goes to UF don't know enough about Floridas DL, but Pitcock is a beast so it can't be too far off At LB the edge goes to tOSU At DB the edge goes to UF At Special teams the edge goes to tOSU At Coaching the edge goes to tOSU Overall goes to UF LOL How is tOSU getting the edge in 6 of the 9 areas and the overall edge goes to UF? To make the game actually get some hype since it will be over by halftime X [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: tOSU vs UF game day thread
That must be a typo. Giving the gators the overall edge, while acknowledging OSU is superior in most categories is pretty dumb.

Re: tOSU vs UF game day thread
I don't really think they have more depth at WR either... I was just curious how ESPN came to the conclusion they are better at that position.

Re: tOSU vs UF game day thread
I guess the three where Florida is better far outweigh the 6 where OSU is better. It may be very close on six of them where OSU is better and Florida is way better in the other 3. We'll see if ESPN has a clue tonight.
I'd like to see OSU win this game but I'm fairly certain that Florida is a good matchup for OSU and has a decent shot at winning the game. If OSU wins this game they'll have beaten #2 three times this year. Has anyone ever done that in one season? |

Re: tOSU vs UF game day thread
Wah wah wah. Yes this report is dumb but its not like OSU isn't getting 90% of the love from ESPN.
Special Teams are closer to even because of our greatness at everything except field goal kicking. WR is very close but I think it's a slight edge for UF with Baker/Caldwell/Cornelius/Harvin & then Ingram at TE. OSU has a edge at RB but it's close if Harvin gets the ball in the backfield a lot. None of these categories outside QB/DB/OL is very large, IMHO. |
