Bob,

Yea, Roy is nasty and yea Dallas actually hasn't played terribly other than that they can't make a shot tonight, they have won the boards and the TO battle and I have been impressed w/ the way they have swarmed the ball...just give Portland credit, they have created space well and they have made some tough shots too. When that is happening Dallas can't shoot 30% and expect to win.

and when did Outlaw become a servicable player?

[ QUOTE ]
I am intrigued by the Hawks, so I wanted to give some thoughts...

-Josh Smith is an idiot. Has no real position, drives when he should shoot, shoots when he should drive, seems to have a hard time defending 3's or 4's. Not a fan.
-Horford is going to be good. He is the first guy this year who actually took it hard to KG a couple of times and really competed. I see him ending up as a 18/10 guy eventually. The Boozer comparisons are legit.
-Shelden LOL. I have no idea how this guy dominated the ACC on a nightly basis.
-Acie Law was very impressive. The handle is there, the shot is smooth, and he looked like more of a true point guard than I was expecting.

Question! Why is tihs team never talked about in Kobe talks? They were there for the IVerson stuff, were there for the KG talks, and the following are good pieces...

Childress
JJ
Horford
Law
Zaza
J-Smooth
Marvin Williams

If they could do the deal without giving up JJ, and moved JJ to the 3 after getting Kobe, that would be awesome. The Hawks have more talent than the Bulls. Why is no one talking about this potential trade?

[/ QUOTE ]

Kobe would guard the other teams bigger wing player(i.e. play the 3), not JJ.

Good Jazz win tonight, enjoyed it thoroughly. All 4th Q I wanted AK to grab the triple double, oh well. I wish more games were shown on KJAZZ rather then the opposing teams announcers, but it seems on NBA ticket other markets have more power then that network or whatever. (Utah > Memphis, < Every other FSN network apparently)

I am also curious to see if the recent pwnage of the celts will rekindle our (The rest of Lakers fandom and I against the Celts) rivalry.

Lakers vs Celtics Nov 23rd. First loss for the Celts

they are good, they just don't have a true point guard, a go-to scorer, or any semblance of a capable big man.

[/ QUOTE ]

What is Kirk Hinrich and Chris Duhon?

Ben Gordon and Luol Deng are more than capable scorers.

Big Ben's hurt now, but are you claiming a healthy Wallace = not a "capable" big man? Even Tyrus Thomas is a capable big man...

The best part of the Cavs/Clips game was the Illgauskas interview with his ridiculously uneven accent.

Here's a nit I have: the fairly recent trend of home teams wearing non-white colors, no doubt to pad their merchandise sales by having enough unis that litte Timmy can fill his closet with every single special edition that's released.

This is the NBA. HOME TEAMS WEAR WHITE. It's what they do. But increasingly I tune in and the Suns are at home wearing orange and playing the Lakers, who are decked out in white with gold trim, among many recent examples. WTF. Cut it out.
