Re: Who Folds This? Chapter 2
he raises 8% preflop and we're not giving him credit for a hand that beats us with a K in the flop?
C/F > B/F > C/CR ? |

Re: Who Folds This? Chapter 2
it's a super easy fold but against an EP 8% raiser (even though his range is probably a bit weird) it's likely just a c/f on the flop.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah, turn fold is standard. against this player, on this board, I just c/f the flop. Sure, sometimes he will have AQ, but honestly, he's never folding TT-QQ, and he will have a K or those hands pretty much all the time. c/f the flop for me |

Re: Who Folds This? Chapter 2
not with those player stats its not. The only hand he possibly has is AQ and he's not folding any of the 4567 hands that beat you. C/F flop, definately C/F turn

Re: Who Folds This? Chapter 2
Its been said so many times in other threads. But when I guy like this raises it is usually not big hands like QQ+ and AK since a lot of fish will just limp these.
The flop c/r is too much but I think c/f'ing the flop is a tad weak as well. The problem with c/c'ing however is knowing when to give up. I wouldnt c/c with the intention of c/c'ing all 3 streets unless I had a good read on villain 3-barreling too much. This is a spot where a read or a stat about how much villain c-bets is extremely usefull. Ok I am rambling. Tough spot! Get some reads! Without reads you can prolly c/f it on the flop. |

His range to raise preflop from that seat is pretty tight. He calls a lot PF. My hand isn't strong enough to reraise preflop. I think the best way to play this would have been check/call the flop and check/fold the turn. There are definitely a range of hands that this guy would have checked the turn with and I failed to realize that at the time. I don't think his type will bet a weaker hand than mine on the turn often enough to play it otherwise. I wish I had thought this out better at the time. |
