Default Ohio State at Washington

I can't wait to see where the Huskies really are. I knew with 100% certainty that they would handle Boise State last week, though they managed to make it interesting the whole way. Offensive play calling in the second half was lame, WR's killed several drives with their hands of stone, and they played a top 25 team that probably shouldn't have been so highly rated. This is the first of many tests for Locker and the Huskies. I think that playing at Husky Stadium makes this game a toss-up. I really don't know where the Huskies belong after beating a bad high school team in Syracuse and then beating a Boise State team of unknown quality.

My gut instinct is that the Huskies squeak by and Locker does just enough to make up for Rankin being nailed in the backfield every other time he touches the ball.

Husky D will hold its own, but those young corners scare me. Against Syracuse they were beaten over and over agian, but the Syracuse QB was missing badly. I saw 4 or 5 interference penalties that didn't get called because the ball was uncatchable. Against Boise State the defense seemed to be laying way off and closing quickly. EJ Savannah and Greyson Gunheim look like they'll be earning some honors this year.

Jake Locker looks like a horse. On the first play against Boise State I was stunned at how fast that boy is. He bounced the play outside and ran by two DB's. 4.4/40? I think so. At 225 lbs he should be able to get into the secondary and absolutely crush some DB's this year. I think the huskies go bowling this year and win the apple cup by a score of 52-14 because the cougars suck and I hate them more than any team on the face of the planet.

Note that in UW context, Sweater Vest is old Slick Rick most of the time.

I kinda expect UW to get rolled because I think their WR core is so iffy that OSU can just sick beastly LBs on Locker and Dancin' Rankin (I made that up!) and game over. That said I wouldn't be shocked if UW won by 20 either. I have no read on either team.

Problem is, when the Huskies seem to be going good WSU seems to knock them off at the end.(and vice versa)

Huskies didn't dominate Boise St. If BS played that friggin' play action- out route, they had it all day long for 8-13 yards. Our D won that game for us.

Corners are getting better. Nate Williams is a stud for just being a freshman. Not sure why they're giving that much room from the line. Might be because they're a bit young and don't want to give up the deep ball. A bend but not break approach.

Not sure if this will really say where the Huskies really are. Does anyone really know where the Buckeyes really are this season? Imo, if the Huskies make a good game out of it, that'd be fine in itself. I think the Bucks have alot more talent on their team.

Just wished I'd upgraded my seats a game earlier.

If Marcel Reece starts catching the ball with more consistency, look out.

This game could also be a chessmatch of field position.

Firstly, who hates Washington State? I guess the last few years of sucking has gotten to Husky fans since I would expect some combination of mild disdain, feeling sorry, and general condescension toward WSU than any sort of hatred.

I'll be watching as I haven't seen Washington play this year. This game for them has a lot of upside in the sense that anything but a total ass kicking would be positive. Even that wouldn't be bad. Playing well in a loss would be good for them and obviously winning would be huge.

Hopefully Tressel lights a fire under the o-lines ass. The OSU offense hasn't played with intensity except for this C. Wells stiff arm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTqvbVA2LzY.

I think it will be a very interesting game unless a new OSU offense shows up. Our D is sick though
