Re: current net worth vs. liftime earnings
Ike,
You may be right. I wasn't able to find applicable data with google either way, and young poker players may be a unique population in any case. I'm definitely not going to tell someone that its impossible they've saved X amount of dollars. But I think this is a question where its easy to dash off an answer and then check back and say WHOA. |

Re: current net worth vs. liftime earnings
Probably like 1:1.1, I don't have to pay taxes and don't really ball it up.

Re: current net worth vs. liftime earnings
[ QUOTE ]
I think most of the estimates around 1:3 are WAY too low. Not saying that any particular person's estimate is too low, just that in general I don't think many people on the forum are saving in excess of 10% of their gross income every year. Edit: I'll post some more later... [/ QUOTE ] In my own case, my net worth is almost entirely accounted for by poker winnings and (almost inadvertent) profit on the property market. Regular employment barely kept me breaking even when I was paying for rent/mortgage. Kids, my advice to those of you with balla monies is BUY A HOUSE. By all means blow the rest of it as long as you do that one thing. |

Re: current net worth vs. liftime earnings
-1:10, I have college debts.
If my possessions count it'll be more like +1:10 though. |
