In checking the Neteller FAQ update this evening, I noticed this is also new:

Does this change affect non-US members?

Yes. NETELLER is currently unable to transact with USD bank accounts, regardless of the location of the member. Please contact us to learn more.

The sky has been falling since January 15th, it just took 9 days for some of the really big chunks to start crashing to earth.

It's been falling since Oct 13, 2006 but most people were too stupid to realize it. Instead people posted on here about how it was no big deal. So what that this or that poker room left the US market. We still have these others. Oh and so what if they payment processor left. We still have others. Now it's starting to sting and even now people are claiming that the sky isn't falling because they can still fund their accounts in $100 increments using pre-paid debit cards.

The sky isn't falling. It's fallen.

This whole mess Neteller is in is due to a completely voluntary move by the ACH networks to cut off transfers to companies known to aid online gaming. Remember all those idiots who said it would be way to hard to stop the transfers (ZeeJustin being idiot numero uno on this one)? The government didn't even draft a plan yet and this much damage has been caused just via a voluntary move on the part of the ACH networks.

Just remember, the people telling you that there's just way too much money involved for the US to get completely shut out of the online poker world are the same people who were telling you that this day would not only never come but was impossible.

The sky isn't falling, we're just in the middle of a really nasty storm. All the impacted sites--which means all the sites--are working on ways of adding payers. It will take a little while but they'll come up with something.

They want our money too much.

Agreed. The thing with Neteller is a complete debacle, obviously, but I have little doubt that Stars and FT would move heaven and earth to devise an easy way for Americans to move money around.
