I've had same type of problem sometimes. I play well, win couple of buyins and then start to lose. I often start to pay off river valuebets too lightly or overestimate folding equity in some situations. I just try to calm myself down and stop steaming or if I can't do it I just quit.

Snoman -

People are probably going to say some mean stuff to you in this thread and what not - don't take it too hard, it's just kind of how things run around here.

I know where you're coming from, and the situation probably revolves around the fact that live full ring poker can be mind numbingly boring at times. Getting in only around 35 hands/hour or whatever, sometimes you can sit there for a full hour without really playing a single hand. After a while, you go stir crazy and just decide enough is enough and it's time to make something happen.

I suggest taking frequent breaks, and as practice tell yourself that after 1 or 2 hours of poker, you will sit there and fold everything except premium pairs until you leave - just to get yourself used to sitting there bored for hours on end.

Lol, I was actually about to give up on checking this thread again. A lot of members here do live up to the 2p2 stereotype, but thank you very much for actually taking the time to respond, and with info to help, no less.

More suggestions always welcome but stuff that's already been written has been a huge help.

I guess I'm looking for what everyone does to stay focused at the table and not start playing crap, thinking "Hey, I'm bored so I'll try taking this pot down with 46s)

Post up some hands that cost you alot of money in those sessions if you can remember the details, that'll probably help pinpoint the problem a bit better.

Hey everyone (not sure if this is the right forum for this)

I have a problem with my sessions. I can't quit until I've lost it all. For example, I was playing Fallsview (local casino) and it was my first time playing there, and within 2 hours, I was up to $375, from a Another two hours go buy with nothing much happening due to cold cards and I don't know if it was the cold cards that got to me, or the two annoying tourists at the other end of the table, bitching because the dealer mucked his KK (he actually pushed it forward) but then within the next hour, busto. Rebought and lost that within 1 1/2hours.

Same story at a small home game a couple days ago. 4 Players, .10/.25NL There ended up about 80 bucks on the table, and I at one point had $50+. But fastforward another 3 hours and bam......you guessed it, busto.

Im looking for help on how to fix this part, not sure if it is because I get bored, or it's varience, or I get exhausted so it turns into a -EV game for me, I can't figure it out and I was hoping from some insight from the 2p2 community.
