WTF did i get hacked?
i logged into a wireless network at a bar the other night and when i turned on my computer, my intel wireless manager said 'another wireless interface device is trying to communicate with your network card, so intel has been disabled' or something like that. it let me click to enable the manager, which i did, and i communicated with the network without a problem.
same thing happened at school today. same result. haven't noticed any problems with my computer, ran mcafee with no issues. i have their internet security suite, firewall set to normal settings, etc. windows xp home edition, dell laptop, nothing else remarkable. wtf is trying to communicate with my wireless card? |

Re: WTF did i get hacked?
Could be someone trying something funny or more likely other lappies that are automatically trying to connect to whatever wireless connections it sees. If you are worried about it turn off the wireless when you are away from the laptop.
