Default My toughest hand of this week (9/04)

In getting back into the NL cash game groove, I am reading more and posting a lot less. So maybe my posts will have more value. I hope :P

Villain in the hand is TiltedD, and he's got 6 buyins on the table. Only notes on him besides numbers (41/13/5 over 100 hands) are that he bets halfish pot out of position weakly when his holding is marginal, he has felted to a flop 3bet on a Q94 two hearts flop with QTo, and he is wildly aggressive. I am semi deep and my image is 28/15/4 and i am playing very aggressively as well.

I fold to that bet. You told him you meant business when you called the raise on the flop.

okay, we're getting somewhere.

first off, with my flop line, what can he safely put me on? probably an overpair, with AA/KK slightly less likely. also rarely an eight or fullboat on flop, but I will just call the 3bet on the flop with these holdings a decent percentage of the time.

what do I put him on? really, an eight or nothing. i dont think he has an overpair or a fullboat, because he would use different lines preflop and on the flop.

so, its a matter of either him having an eight and trying to stack an overpair, or him repping an eight and trying to push off a marginal holding like tens.

i decided the latter was more likely given his betting patterns and raised.

Pretty sure I push that turn against this type of opponent. This is where its nice to know how often he CR's flops... If he rarely CR's you know he's got an 8 but if his CR% is big, you know he likes to CR-bluff..

To potentially fold out a jack and not let a random facecard/ace draw freely. also, just calling on this turn just doesnt seem right imo. that was my thought process on the turn re: calling or raising. this is another good debatable point.

also, with this guy having $1200 in front and being LAG, I think once in a blue moon he really is capable of shoving the river here with 99/77-44 or a bluff.

Very nice point.

Against a typical opponent this should be a clear fold. With the opponent in this hand the decision seems tougher.
