How Do You Organize Your Buddy Lists?

I don't know anyone that uses GMail except for the nerdy kids at school, to talk about school stuff.

All real friends use AIM.

Buddy list:

People I talk to.
Poker.
People I don't talk to.
People who talk to me.

"People I talk to" is the primary list, and is ranked in order of how close person is to me. If I look @ list, and think "Hrm, I like this person more than that one" I just drag it up. I originally did it subconsciously until I realized that's how I was ordering them.

-friends through poker / 2+2
-acquaintances through RL
-acquaintances / fans through poker / 2+2
-family

Also, when in college with any girl in the picture there is the secret group below family where you hide the girls that you still talk to.

i use gmail, but nobody i know uses gmail, so i don't have anyone to gtalk with. i guess aim's the american thing, but i use msn (windows live) messenger.

Mine goes something like this:

Dudes(People I will talk to on a frequent basis)
WIU(all of the people I met at school)
2+2(ldo)
Folks who don't talk to rob often(ldo)

Most of the people on my list are on the last section.

fwiw i dont order, i only have ~200 ppl on my list as i just delete anyone i havent talked to in ages.....

why do you have buddies you don't like?

mine is

gse (summer nerd program)
buddies (pre college friends)
school (college friends)
poker (2p2 people, some friends from college there)
