don't be a pansy, bet/call, fold.

What is the logic of calling a raise and folding the turn UI?

grunch

I cb when the board looks like this after I raise preflop. I'm sure checking is the better play, but if I knew how to play I'd win money not lose it.

Response below in white... Still trying not to sway other people's responses.

My post was a little generic. I cb in spots like this when I'm up against unknowns who CC my preflop raise. The bet is for info and not for value. I realize that betting for info is frowned upon, but I can find out whether these players will fold to agression after the flop on a broadway board.
I don't disagree with you about it being a leak but I felt my post needed to be explained better.

GRUNCH: I'm ok with giving up. The only good thing about that flop for you is that it's monotone.

FYP. Monotone is the exact opposite.

ok obviously this was posted for reason. so why is betting here good?

and if betting here is good, then like 90% of the advice given on this forum on how to continue multiway when the flop comes with 2+ overs to your pair must be wrong.

c-betting is awful here

Just give up. I would c-bet HU. Not 3-way. Definetely not 4-way.

Do you really think Aaron is advocating a bet here?

Aaron... I think there are some stuff in the reads department. Namely your image at the time! Also I think Button or the BB was the biggest fish on PS.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure it was BB.

I think AW put "no reads" to make it a more generic situation. At his specific table, I think the choice is even more clear. Details later if you wish, but I'm gonna let some others post their thoughts.

[/ QUOTE ]

oh and one other thing... I don't think reads (even the best reads, unless they all show you their cards), ever changes this situation.
