Default Chicago area question...

Is the biggest game spread daily at Resorts? Does the 5-10 NL run everyday? I might be in Chicago for two weeks this month and any help is greatly appreciated.

5-10nl at Resorts runs 24-7, it's a 300min 1000max game. It usually is the biggest game in town. Resorts also spreads 25-50nl Friday nights, 1000min no max buy in.

Majestic down the street once in a while spreads 5-10nl and 10-25nl, but not usually.

25-50 WOW. Great thanks for the info. Now does anybody know how easy it is to wire money into their cage? I just gave them a call and the biggest game is 5-10NL so I guess the big game only goes off every once in awhile.

I've been going to majestic and haven't seen a 10/25 ever. Might have seen 5/10 once but thats it. Definetly go to resorts.

On a tangent here but - I'll be in Chicago for business the end of this month w/o a car. Is there any (reasonably easy) way to get to any of these casinos from downtown Chicago w/o a car. Is there a 20-40 or bigger limit game going ever?

20-40 is the biggest limit game they spread at resorts and it runs constantly. There are several ways to get out there, the easiest of which IMO is the chinatown bus. It runs from 21st and Archer straight out to the boats every 2 hrs or so...the trip takes like 35 mins. Oh, and its free.

I think there are details of the chinatown bus and other shuttles (some free, some not free) on Resorts' website.

I thought the Chinatown bus goes to Majestic. I wouldn't take that. The shuttle to Resorts stops at two places downtown: The Hilton on 8th street west of Michigan and the Sheridan which I think is on Columbus north of the River. I've taken the bus from both of these stops. Google (Resorts East Chicago Transportation) for the appropriate webpage and schedule. And yeah, go to Resorts: they usually have 20-40 but the biggest limit game at Majestic is 3-6.

There are buses to both from Chinatown. I've taken it several times to Resorts without problem. They also run a $25 raffle (free entry) on the bus.

My car was in the shop Sunday, so I took the bus from the Hilton to Resorts. I think a new company is running the shuttles, I'd call ahead to make sure the schedule is accurate. Bus was also free not $12. I would've been willing to pay the $12 for the driver to turn down the music so it didn't overpower my Ipod.

20-40 always runs, and like most games at Resorts is good. Their are players in that game who you can talk into playing 30-60 or 50-100 but it will be short handed.

Sweet - thanks guys. This will be a pretty low key meeting so I may try to go both nights I'm there, but I'll go at least one for sure.
