I have some scary news. Jaguars have not yet sold enough tickets to lift the blackout in the area. This is an opening game and they might not be able to lift the blackout restrictions. So embaressing. If I have to do my own part I'll buy two cheapest tickets just hoping that they won't have to blackout the game. This is the reason this team could be in LA soon.

Sluss, how are they more one dimensional with Garrard in?
Byron probably was the better passer but he didn't look good in the pre-season.

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly that Garrard is not as good of a passer and they are forced to rely on the run. Granted their WR blow and their running backs are really good so that doesn't seem like too bad of a strategy. But, I think if they ever go down two scores I have very little confidence in Garrard being able to move the ball well enough to mount a comeback. It would go square onto the defense.

I have also never been a fan of QBs who when they get under pressure instead of looking down field, look to run. The more confidence in their legs than their arms theory.

[/ QUOTE ]

I never said DG isn't a good passer, he's not amazing but he looked damn good in the pre-season. He can obviously create time and pick up yards with his legs as well. The offense is much more dangerous with Garrard as QB.

3k more seats need to be sold. I don't know if W. Weaver is gonna want to buy up his own tickets again. This is looking bleak, they have until 1pm tomorrow to sell all those tickets. Christ...

It's officially just a matter of hours until the season starts. Guess I am a Saints fan tonight.

Vegas seems pretty sure about the Colts tonight.

In other news, in my pick'em league where you can reuse teams an many times as you want I picked the Jags this week... Go Garrard!

Also, I know this is NFC south, but this is still the only real NFL, non-fantasy thread...

FO came out with updated DVOA projections for every team the other day and I thought it was really funny that Harrington replacing Vick actually improved the Falcons projection.

3 hours and counting, anyone else getting excited. This has the makings of an early "Game of the Year" candidate.

Oh yeah and we get to hang that banner .

I think it's only gonna piss the Saints off. T-minus 2 hours. So Cody, does Bush go 150+ tonight on the ground?
