Villian rolled over Ax of spades with the flush? Looks like villian was on a strong draw and iso raising on the flop. He hit it and is hoping you're going to raise the turn or at least call down. MP2 is just an idiot, but a lucrative one for you! I know it sounds weak/tight but it looks like you're way behind here.

unless villain is an idiot i dont see how he can lead here after you 3 bet the flop without a very strong hand.

i usually fold turn (unless villain is an idiot...stats dont suggest that).

chino not sure if you play online a lot as well (i know you play live a lot), but for me online(and i'm hoping others, hehe) it's rare that i fold an overpair especially hu in a bigger pot. in my games i see sb making this play a fair bit with the ace of trump plus a pair, or two pair sometimes (which we have odds to draw out on so we have to call), or sometimes as some sort of weird block bet/bluff (albeit this is rare). i do agree that we seem more behind than ahead which is why i don't want to raise, but i think we definitely have to see showdown assuming another spade doesn't fall, and because of pot size.

I call, won't like it, will fold if MP2 raises behind.

If we're going to call this down then it should have started on the flop c/r from the SB. Normally I would see that as a way to protect the nut flush draw or over pairs. If you want to see a showdown then start calling down now, no need to 3-bet this, not much value.

SB could play a draw this way, and with MP2 padding the pot, I believe we have more equity than our share to 3-bet an overpair.

You're right. I was looking at this from the perspective of already knowing the turn card, shouldn't have done that. On the flop I'm probably 3-betting to charge the draw and thin the crowd or just increase the dead money. I then puke when I see the 3 flush on the turn.

I don't see why we need to pay any big bets to prove that we're behind in this hand.
