fold. What are you hoping to beat besides a hyper aggressive bluff with a pair of 2s + flush draw?

Fold as played.

I would 3-bet pre-flop and I think that would make the rest of the hand easier to play as well.

33, 44, 55, 66, 77, aq. perhaps folding is still correct, though, not sure based on the given info. or maybe call and fold to a riv bet if he is the type who likes to free sd raise?

I believe in calling them down in situations like this.

(a) A pair on the flop is a pure bluff situation
(b) The turn gives a possible 4FL and 4ST, so a semi bluff is possible
(c) There are a number of hands like yours (77, etc.) that you can beat
(d) You're getting 7.25 to 1

You should be calling because your c/r on the flop looks way more like a donk bluffing a dry flop than a hand nearly as strong as 88.

why are ppl sayin stuff liek this? its ridiculous. this game is super aggro, and just calling in BB with a wide range of hands is defenitely something u need to be mixing into ur game. I strongly prefer smooth calling preflop and CRing the majority of flops with 88 here a lot of the time. I guess it has to do with style choice, but i think u should never always be 3 betting 88 here in this game. anybody have thoughts on this?

in the hand i folded and was frustrated for a while not realizing why. now it defenitely seems like a call down to me, especially given the fact i originally overlooked the K as a spade.
