no reads. game is loose passive 6max.
what is consensus in spots like these?
does our play change when we are HU?
does our play change when we are OOP and get raised from behind?

Call down as he's unknown, but if you had a read that he was passive folding would be ok. People just love to slowplay their flopped trips at 6max.

OP

Raising would be terrible spew. Whenever he 3-bets you are damned if you call and damned if you dont. Since 77 and 55 will be in his 3-betting range you will either end up puuting in 3 bets way behind or you will fold a possible 4-outer and a bloated pot

Folding to his raise is obviously out of the question. As mentioned he has 77 and 55 somewhat often here against which you have 4 outs. This combined with the number of times you see a pocket pair, a bluff or 75 that cant read boards makes it a pretty easy call down IMO.

Sometimes against a very predictable player I will consider folding if the raise is a "trapping raise" in a protected pot. However you need to be carefull as you have those 4 outs against 77 and 55.

I call this down. Villain can be playing lots of things here. Some beat us . Some don't. Especially so since he could be playing you for missed overs.

BONUS: Win or lose we'll get a better read on him.
