It occurs to me that Absolute won't be announcing any changes in their rules. Thay will implement them quietly but don't expect an email to your friend. Why admit they got it wrong with perhaps some liability for hands played. They can just do what any good politician would do. Change horses in midstream and act like that was the way it always was.

Well, I was of the same opinion as you, but to my surprise they admitted their error! I've gained back a smidgeon of respect for Absolute:

"Thank you for your patience.

We have reviewed the game in question and noticed that in deed there was something wrong. At the moment we have first credited your account as the winner of the hand and secondly, reviewed with our programmers so they fix this glitch as soon as possible.

They informed this small glitch is being currently reviewed and under a fix.

Due to this occurrence, we wanted to first apologize for the wrong information and secondly offer you a free seat into this Saturday 150K event as a token of our appreciation. Your name should appear registered within the following hours.

Once again, we thank you for your support and patience.

Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We are here for you!

Sincerely,

Christian
Team Absolute ~ Customer Support Supervisor."

I just checked and the 150K tourney is a $500 entry! Not too shabby. I better get some NL practice in... Has anyone played in that particular tourney before?

Unfortunately, I may not be able to play this Saturday! I've replied and asked to be moved to 9/22. Although I have to wonder if I "unjoin" will I be credited with $530? I've asked that too - can't bring myself to try in case I lose the entry completely...

Dear Christian,

Thanks for the the $500 entry into the tournament. How can I unregister for the tournament to receive my buy-in back?

Also, because of this confusion of hand rankings in razz, can you please send me the complete rankings of all razz hands?

Respectfully,
fleshbot
