I also love playing razz. Must be some sort of mental instability that we share. I am expecting those tables to be lucrative for a little while when they first open up as new players chase - chase - chase.

I expect a whole new breed of bad beat story that sounds something like "so I catch another low card and check/3bet the 2 morons with open pairs" and ends "then this huge pot goes to the guy who capped 6th street with 2 kings showing and OMG we were playing Stud!".

Will they have SnG's? Those tend to solve the sitting out issues, at least...

Any tournament format gets rid of the sitting out issues but I greatly prefer cash games. I can't think of any practical solution to the sitting out issue; hopefully somebody at Stars has (or maybe I'm just being paranoid about people actually sitting out the rounds they don't want to play and it won't even be an issue).

I guess they could set it up sit and go style, but play as a cash game without rising blinds.

Say 45 minutes or so, the only way to get up before that would be losing your stack. If you sit out your blinds would still be posted. I guess they would have to allow rebuys as well. Its not perfect because it would suck to have to switch tables at the end of the time limit if you have a great table obviously.

They could also just lock the table at the first hand of holdem and only give the option to stop paying your blinds after the last hand of eight or better.

I would expect the "sitting out" issue will kill HORSE in the lower limits.

I don't understand what the issue is with sitting out. You still have to post blinds and antes.

FTP had had HORSE SnG's for some time now. I don't see how the game would work outside of the tournament format, unless you are going to force a certain number of orbits.

Play is very soft as people playing have no clue how to play most of the games.

Vey difficult to multitable, especially when you have two or more tables playing different seven card games.
