How often do you guys see a check-raise check line? In my experience, it's pretty rare to see this. $25NL donkeys (e.g. 30/6 ers) will c/r KQ, KJ, and AT on this flop to "see where they're at". And when they get flatted, they still have no clue so they just throw out a confused bet on the turn. This turn-bet doesn't nearly guarantee AK being beat.

In my experience it seems to be extreme weakness or strength. Weakness if they take the line of im gonna catch him c-betting oh [censored] he called...i check. It can be used for pot control and some bad players use it so they don't scare away the opponent on the turn, or hope they bet again into their strong hand.

So what're your thoughts on the check-raise bet line? IMO it's more often KJ-AK than KT or 22.

It is player dependent. My recent experience at NL25 and NL50 is that against decent players, the ckrs/bet is beating my TPTK hands and I have called down more than a few.

against a real 30/6/4.5 (assuming is is over >50 hands) KQ, KJ, QJ all fit the line as much as 22,TT,KT and there are more combo's of the former than the latter.

I think I get my stack in on the turn here.

I opted for the weak tight approach:

Turn: ($12.85) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $7, Hero folds

Results: $12.85 Pot ($0.60 Rake)
BB mucked and WON $12.25 (+$6 NET)

Thank you for your comments.
