Re: 10/20 live at bellagio sick spot
Turn is definitely a fold. I don't think I'd even call the flop 3-bet.
Jimmy is aggressive but he's not an idiot. He's not felting worse than T9. I was at the table during this hand so I won't comment on it, but I think this particular scenario comes up often and is somewhat difficult. Most people are saying they would not raise this flop but would just smooth call. Lets assume we do that. Are you folding to this particular turn when he fires, say 600-800 into a 1200 pot? At this point we can put him on Tx with x most likely higher than our kicker(9), 55(remote), or akc aqc ajc or a mid pp. My guess is that most of you would call this turn bet of the 7d(I may be wrong). Lets now say the river is a nonclub rag that does absolutely nothing and he now fires 1400 into a 2800ish pot. Do you fold now knowing he could have missed clubs 88 99 jj or possibly air because he put you on clubs? Sorry if I am rambling, but it seems that by us raising him on the flop to 700 and him reraising to 1900 it seems pretty clear that his turn bet is not going to be pretty and we are working with 3 outs here. Hence, it costs us 700 to find this out and move on to the next hand. And in my above scenario it could potentially cost us a lot more by just calling and playing wait and see on the turn and river. I see this scenario quite often so just trying to see where my logic is off. Maybe the turn and river are easy folds in my scenario but I don't think they are versus this particular villain. |

Re: 10/20 live at bellagio sick spot
From the times I've played with him, Jimmy isn't near as aggro/LAGgy as most people assume. Raising the flop is fine for information and so is folding to the flop 3-bet now that you found out what you wanted. Def fold turn.

Re: 10/20 live at bellagio sick spot
Not really a sick spot, you have like the cajillionth nuts 450 bb's deep, all you beat is the 2% of the tough reg's range which is a sickkkkk bluff.
Plus you are playing live so im assuming half the table is retarded and you dont need to clash with said tough reg too much. After you tank-call the flop youre alwaaaays gonna have to call another barrel on the turn, so I just fold flop if youre not happy to get your stack in. Btw, I saw some kid kinda like this in Vegas, he looked kinda vampire-rapper, plz tell me this is him. |

Re: 10/20 live at bellagio sick spot
This particular day Jimmy was playing rather lag. he was limping most hands and raising few. Id say liming about 70% of hands and seeing flops. I like the way Shearsheep put it that i should have folded to the flop 3 bet. Now the next day I talked to a guy who's friend was at the table suring this hand, and said he folded the case 10 before all this action. Now my question to you is does this change your decision????

Re: 10/20 live at bellagio sick spot
Andrew, I was the one who told you that my friend folded the case ten. But I don't think that matters when he is holding exactly 55.
