Default Bet out on my made flush OOP?

This is your typical loose aggro 0.02/0.04 game

Ultimate Bet 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (10 handed) Ultimate Bet Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 4 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, 2 folds, HERO checks.

Flop: (4.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
HERO checks, UTG bets, MP3 raises, CO calls, HERO 3-bets, UTG calls, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (8.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
HERO checks, UTG bets, MP3 calls, CO calls, HERO calls.

River: (12.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
HERO ??

Given the nature of the game, I was comtemplating between betting out, or checking, and letting the players to act make a bet. My rationale: Me betting out would likely to cause all the players to fold, thus not making any value on the river. Letting a late player bet out while I raise or call to induce other players to call, might be more EV.

Bet for value. The opponents at this level are very poor and will call your bet to see the showdown, especially after investing so much of it on the earlier streets. Having a player in late position bet and you raise, will be more likely to have them fold by making them face 2 cold. I think it is important you bet in situations like this.

Since you 3bet the flop and checked the turn, I'd worry that people easily spot your draw and will check. So for that reason I just bet out.

I still lead the river, but FWIW I'm not as concerned with this here since UTG or MP3 are the likely bettors, not the CO. Even if UTG intitially checks and then folds to your c/r, you'll still likely to collect a 2nd BB from MP3 if he's the bettor.

I did check here, and the rest really checked behind. Well, missed at least 1 BB from these players... lesson learnt

Why have you 3-bet the flop?

With 4 players, I was 3-betting to increase the pot size, while the bet size is still small. I'm raising for value, given that I will hit my flush about slightly less than 35% of the time, discouting for the fact that I won't be having the nut flush.

Bwahahahahahahahaha. Come on man. Are you serious?

This is a classic example of bad poker thinking. It's quite common for players to feel that some action they take will turn their hand face up. Anytime you see someone say "he'll call all better hands and fold all worse hands" you have stumbled on this bad logic. You can find it in the high stakes forum too!

In reality, this is almost never the case. Your opponents always have some doubt about your holding, and will make bad folds / bad calls all the time.

Even when it is the case that a bet narrows your range way down, you'll still be amazed at how often players will pay you off anyways. And you're playing .02/.04 for god's sake. You're definitely getting called at these stakes.

good luck.
