Default [censored]\'s old fashioned poker challenge

after a AIM conversation with Yeti aka The Mole I found myself motivated to play some serious poker. I also have been disappointed lately in the lack of reading I've been doing.

Thus starting on at 12:01 03/04/07 I have undertook the following challenge.

play 80 hours of poker over the next 10 days and read two books (On the Road and Confessions of an Economic Hitman) as well as keep up with my magazine subscriptions.

my biggest obstacle is going to be getting my time in while still spending time with my girlfriend which important to me. I've told her about my project and she fully supports it so that helps but still I find it very easy to blow things off to do stuff with her.

I played 3.5 hours from 1 to 4:30 this morning having a pretty decent session. I woke up very motivated to play another 5 hours today before going to the GF's for dinner and to stay the night. Unfortunately FTP has decided to schedule some unscheduled downtime so I haven't been able to play.

Not sure what I'm going to do tonight as far as going to girlfriend's but she's left it up to me.

I have been reading On The Road so it's not entirely wasted. This is my second attempt at reading as its been hard for me to get into the characters and Kerouac's style of including an abundance of detail is not what I prefer.

so far day 1

3.5 hours
