I'd definitely lean toward Duke. The matchups are in Clemson's favor, and they could obviously cover if they were motivated, but playing on the road, coming off a fairly big win over Maryland and with Wake Forest next week, I don't expect them to be playing anywhere close to capacity. If I were to guess, I'd say Clemson wins 31-20 in a sloppy game.

I think I saw (in this thread) a ML on the VT/GT game at +102 for VT. Anyone seen the ML at a more square book? I'd guess even, but that seems a little low for a team getting 2.5 points.

As far as VTs ability to score, I agree with others that it is low. On the other hand, their defense and special teams are great (disagree with an earlier post that special teams is a wash). I think VT is going to get a lot of short fields and will take advantage of GT mistakes when on defense and special teams, mistakes that teams like BC and LSU (their two losses) didn't make.

Woudl probably lean towards the money line if I could find it at +110, but if its even I'll probably stick with +2.5. In a low scoring game, either team could easily win by a point.

The +102 was from one of my posts but it wasn't the ML, it was with 2.5 points. You can get a VT +130 ML at WSEX or Bookmaker.

ND has an offense that will beat itself. It's not so much that Navy can't stop any offense, its that ND's offense can't beat any defense.

[/ QUOTE ]

I predict a team total line for ND of at least 30. Navy's D is that bad.

It's the force that anything can stop against the object that anyone can move.

Wisky/OSU Over 44
Cincy/USF Under 50
LSU/Bama Over 47.5
Missouri/Colorado Under 57.5

Missed Wake/UVA under 45. Went straight to 43.5. I need more money on Bookmaker. I am also leaning ASU/OR over 61, Navy/ND under 56, Nev/NMSU under 68.

I must admit to not watching GA Tech's special teams closely, but their kicker is making 2+ FGs per game and their punter is top 10 in the country in average and GA TEch is number 1 in the country in net punting. They are also 11 in kickoff returns.

VA Tech has Eddie ROyal, a dangerous return guy on punts. Their punter is good, kicker is good but mostly unproven, and their kickoff return numbers are poor (110 in the country).

This is a wash in reputation only.

Yeah, definitely. I'm glad someone who isn't an alum posted this before I did.

Also, GT fans can be happy that among my other feelings for GT this year:

Yes v ND
Yes v BC
Yes v Virginia
No v Clemson
Yes v Maryland
No v Miami

So I'm basically 1-5 this year, which is why I don't bet on the football team.

it is an adaptation of a Family guy quote about Chuck Norris:
"what happens when an unstoppable force runs into an immoveable object?" -shows chuck norris punching his own chin.
