Default VALUE OF POSITION

Just how important is your position when deciding what hands to play.

I've really become a diciple of SSHE and do my best to play the hands that are dictated by position.

One of the things I've noticed is that at the limits that I play 3/6 and 4/8, there are quite a few players that seem to play every hand with any two cards and will go to the river.

I'm wondering just how important position becomes when up against players like this... for ex: LP with Js9s... if yoiu have a someone that's just playing every hand to your rigth and raises... now what?... obviously they are playing every hand.. but do you respect the raise and toss the hand?

On the other side... if you're in LP with Js9s and "maniac" is to your left?

Look forward to your replies.

I'm still learning.....

Steve

Default Re: VALUE OF POSITION

u get to act last which is a huge advantage and allows more speculative hands to be played profitably because you will be able to gauge by action in front of you if:

a) your hand is good
b) if you can attempt a steal
c) if you can draw profitably
