Help Me Badger Stars Into Adding HU CG!

Hello,

My name's Bryce and I'm one of the many who enjoy being able to play thousands and tens of thousands of hands of online poker each month. The reason I'm writing you today is that I would like to inquire if it would be possible for PokerStars to add one-on-one cash tables to their lobby. The heads-up tables at your major competitor (Full Tilt) are quite popular around the clock, but I have always enjoyed the PokerStars software and would be quite happy to spend even more time at your site were such tables available.

In the ring game filter it has a setting for 1 on 1 ring but they do not have any tables. I thought that stars use to have 1 on 1 cash tables on the micro level.

to remove them for many reasons. The games used up a lot of server time,
caused a great deal of problems, and were the subject of innumerable

Hello Alex,

Are you referring to the 5 .02/.04 tables PokerStars used to have? The reason you had problems was likely people waiting to play a specific person. The easy fix there would be to have more tables, but in any case, I'm not lobbing for mirco HU tables. I'd like to see 3/6+ HU tables. I think you'll have less of a problem with those tables. The reason I believe this is so critical, as you're probably aware, the games are getting tougher. As this happens, those of us who choose to play only in games where we believe we have an edge will find fewer games to play. HU is a different animal though. The potential margin in HU is greater. Therefore, a great HU player can make a profit vs. a good HU player while a great 6-max or full ring player can't make a profit vs. 5 or 9 good players especially at 3/6 and 5/10 where the rake is large factor. HU is a rich and complex game. The person that adapts the best and the fastest will come out on top. IMO this is the future of online poker in this increasingly difficult time. I hope you will reconsider your decision on this matter.

That's disappointing news. As I understand there were a number of problems with the 1-1 cash games beforehand, such as squatting, but as Full Tilt's showing these problems can be overcome with a little creativity (their solution for squatters is to have the software boot the players who are inactive for more than a couple minutes). As to the chip dumpers I would think that the problem would be moreso with the chimp dumpers themselves rather than whatever particular table / medium they're using to try and move chips, though I'm sure you're the experts here.

In any case, I was just wanting to make you aware that if there is a large group of players who would love to see the 1-1 cash tables instituted, so should you ever consider doing so in the future please keep that in mind.
