I can vouch for Poker.com as I've been playing there since new management has taken over. Paul Cherry is a standup guy and would never release this offer if he didn't fully intend to honor it. They do treat their players like family.

If CnR gives them the OK I'm sure Poker.com will do the rest.

Nice gesture Paul.

It seems an appropriate time to respond to all this misinformed chat. As a member of the CnR management team, these are the facts:

1. As a member of probably the most reputable online poker network, we have absolutely no access to player deposits. The Network holds these funds and guarantees withdrawals.
2. The total value of the WSOP promised was $40,000 and not $100,000 - not everyone won a seat to the main event.
3. We take our promise to repay this obligation seriously and have already made the first payment to try and stop these ridiculous rumors. We don’t expect the repayment period to take 22 months. We have indicated 5% or more per month. We will pay more as often as we possibly can. Since our original launch in 2004 we have paid out over a million dollars in these type of promotions and, until now, have always delivered.

Reputation is EVERYTHING in online gaming as none of the casinos are regulated by the U.S. That being said, I strongly suggest you pay out the 40K today instead of over the next 20 months.

The fact that you admit that you have cash flow problems to pay out 40K makes your site look REALLY bad no matter how you look at it.

I hope you're right. But I still think its just a cleverly worded press release designed to give poker.com incredibly favorable publicity for no expense.

CnR won't give the OK. Don't get me wrong its great marketing but do you honestly believe that CNR is going to give another business the go ahead to make things good? If they did it would be a good sign they are going under.

Is it possible that the players would have to pay Poker.com back any money paid to them by CNR? Essentially that would mean that Poker.com is loaning them the money. It's pretty sad another poker site is here to bail CNR out but their network goes and buries their head in the sand.

I've emailed poker.com as has at least one of the other 10 I keep in touch with. It may take them a little while for them to get back to me and I hope they aren't getting bombarded with messages from people claiming to be one of the 10 but aren't. I can't see CnR agreeing to this either but I'm interested in hearing what both parties have to say. Even if this doesn't work out for some reason, my opinion of poker.com just skyrocketed (I didn't know much about them prior to this). You can't make an offer publicly like this without intending to follow through IMO (I mean, who would kick a guy in the nads if he was already down?). Poker.com was one of the few sites I hadn't gotten around to yet and you better believe I'm taking a closer look.

The most reputable networks? Let's see.......

1. CNR cant pay out $40,000

2. Power Player is slow paying people.

3. Bayou and Carnival are slow paying people.

4. Pure Poker tried to run off with a bunch of player's cash, then the new owners tried to act like that was not their problem just like the licensor and the network did. Then lowball offers and lengthy payment times were being negotiated.

5. Revolutionary Poker stiffed players and affiliates.

6. Futurebet, a major licenser of endless ONGAME/Poker Network skins, has been put on the "Not Recommended" list at Casinomeister due to the networks inability to license trustworthy operators.

7. I have a feeling there is another ONGAME skin disaster brewing as we speak.

The fact that you claim that one of the least trusted networks is "probably the most reputable" doesnt help your cause. The fact that ONGAME could not loan your skin $40,000 to try and save face is pretty disturbing too. Either your credit sucks, they dont care about their skins or they dont care about their players. Maybe all of the above?

By the way if the skins dont bank their players why are there so many slow pay/no pay issues coming out of that network? Do some skins bank while others do not? All of these slow pay/no pays are even more disturbing if ONGAME guarantees the funds. There are many tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of late or charged off cash outs and payments to affiliates floating around on this network in 2006.

I cannot think of any other poker room/network having consistent cash flow problems like this in a long time. The fact that the network does not feel this is their problem is disturbing to me and I am sure many other people. This isnt a new startup, this is the 3rd largest network. Players expect to trust a network of this size to keep their word and make timely payouts.
