I don't understand this line of thinking.

If anyone thought that I had a hole in my game I'd look at what they were saying, and consider it.

It doesn't matter if it is gigabet, curtains, flightrisk, sklansky, salazarrrrrrrrr or whoever - it seems to me that people commenting on their perceived holes in my game can only be good to me.


The idea of apparently being *insulted* because a non-superstar criticises you seems absurd to me.

Saying "lol you suck" and "you have some considerable leaks" are two vastly different things. And if you get "narked" about criticism, you probably have some fundamental errors in your approach to poker.

And the "but he has a lower roi" nonsense is funny as well.

Guys there's no need to be bashing anyone. I thought vers was making a big mistake dropping out of school and said some things to dissuade him or at least force him to reconsider.

Eagles is right, there is a reason people settle in at games below 200's. Sometimes it is because someone isn't comfortable with the stakes, but the vast majority of the time it is because they don't play well enough.

Of course I would be happy to accept it. I'd ask them why they thought that, and try to fix it (depending, of course, on whether they were right or not).

It's not as if "Josem sucks at $16 sngs" (or whatever) on an essentially anonymous internet discussion board is a particularly egregious slander.

Self-criticism is a pretty fundamental part of getting better at poker.
