Getting to East Rutherford???
The new girlfriend and I will be in New York City (Times Square area) this fri, sat and sunday. We want to take in a NHL playoff game and the Sens/Devils is top of the list. Is it easy getting to East Rutherford from where i will be? Is there some fool proof way to get there like via a train or bus or something? I appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
Cab is the best bet. Never cabbed it back to the city but I'm sure it is easy enough. No train goes to the stadium., unfortunately.

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
Fifteen seconds of Googling and I found this:
From Port Authority's 41st Street Bus Terminal in Manhattan The Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan offers load and go bus service for all Devils games. It's just a twenty-minute bus ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Service begins 2 hours prior to each game. All guests get dropped off conveniently at Gate C at the Continental Airlines Arena. Return service to NY begins immediately after the game ends. Tickets can be purchased on board each bus. For more information call (800) 772-2222 |

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
Plenty of buses from the Port Authority, there and back. Cab is going to be like 70 each way. Bus is like 10 bucks round trip. Just follow the folk with devils gear on.

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
Do you have tickets for the game, or do you plan on scalping?
They sold the arena out last Saturday. The way things look right now, you might witness the handshake ceremony if you get tickets. |

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
Just plan on scalping right now. I called and its only $9 round trip, sweet. I figure once my Sens win this one right now, lots of Devils will be selling outside the arena. Now I have to pack my Ottawa gear. If i get to see them take it, i am gonna pee my pants.

Why did you even respond? Have you ever heard of a bus, or do you just like paying ~60 bucks each way for a cab? |

Re: Getting to East Rutherford???
It might be difficult to get seats for this one considering it might be the last game the Devils play at Continental, ever.
