Default heading to london from aug 16-26th...looking for live cash games...

Hi all,
Going to have my first visit to the UK on Aug. 16-26, and I'm looking to play in some cash games. I play 10/25, 25/50 at home, with deep stacks, but maybe I'd even like to play as low as 5/10. Where are the best places to play, and what stakes do they have? Also, I heard there is something weird where you have to become a member first?

Also: what is the best way to convert $ to pounds without getting raped?

Also: Any 2p2ers who would want to meet up/show me the ropes I would be more than happy to return the favor if you ever came to nyc.

Holla at me,
thanks,
dlpnyc21

The stakes you want will only be found at The Vic. A casino on Edgeware road, in central London.

As for where to change ur $, try to do an exchange with a poker player. The Vic does have currency changing facility, not sure how compettitve it is though.

Yes you do have to become a member first but you can become a member straight away and start playing all you need to do is bring a photo id to the casino. Pretty sure this is this the same for overseas vistors as it is for uk residents.
Hope you enjoy london.

Also keep in mind that the Vic has a dress code.

Look smart. Avoid sneakers. If your shirt has short sleeves, it needs a collar.
