line up a million women and have them write about men, relationships and what they want -- then take a look at their REAL LIFES, and I bet something wont match up.

Fluffpop's post would have a lot more merit to it if there wasn't evidence pointing to exactly the opposite thing in this post. [/ QUOTE ] Meh, You are smarter than this. Generalizations suck. |

[/ QUOTE ] LOUD NOISES [/ QUOTE ] Fluffy's response from another thread, interestingly enough about a guy who was wondering if he was spending too much money on a girl and if it might be tainting the relationship somehow: [ QUOTE ] if you're spending a lot of money on her, you know she feels guilty ... in conclusion, buy her presents. Unfounded generalizations suck, yes. However, the data supports the theory, does it not?

Re: Dating: If you\'re short, you better make $$$$$$$
There's a difference between a study that says "women tend to prefer men with money" (and note that men with money are likely to have other qualities to which women will be attracted" and "women are all money grubbing whores".
There's also a difference between "girls like rich guys" and "girls like rich guys just for their money" |

[/ QUOTE ] The difference between: 1) Group X likes Group Y because they have money and 2) Group X likes people for their money Is very, very slim. Furthermore, no one is disputing that men have overwhelmingly analogous traits. You could replace the word "money" with "boobs" and it's basically the same thing. The difference is that men don't lie about it. |

Personally, I love the use of the code word "confidence" to refer to money.

Personally, I love the use of the code word "confidence" to refer to money. [/ QUOTE ] Haha, yeah, this is a good one. I simply can't understand people like Dids who obviously have significant college experience and have seen many young women in that mindset - especially on the west coast, where this attitude is heavily prevalent. The idea that most women are money-grubbing whores is not an absolute statement, I might add - most women have some degree of this attitude in their persona; some worse than others. Again, no different than men wrt boobs minus the honesty factor. |
