Default Pirateboy\'s NCAAF Conquest - Week 10

Only 1 early week play, as I missed the newborn lines last night. Hope it doesn't bite me.

Anyway, for 5 units:

Boston College (-3.5) @ Wake Forest

--I really think Wake is getting too much credit here. BC, IMO, is the most underrated team in the country, as I have them ranked #10 in my polls. Wake played Clemson to the last few minutes, and I also think Wake brings it AGAIN this week. However, BC *knows* the ramifications of this game, and Ryan should be a lot healthier this week. If not, Crane will be juuuuust fine. I see a 9-10 point win for the Eagles on the road. I will give further analysis later.

I agree....BC has found a way to score against nearly every team it has played, some of those are top defenses.

Wake struggled a bit verse UNC and their offense looks down from where it was earlier in the season due to injury issues.

BTW--what's the latest on Ainge for the Vols?

Well, the coachspeak says he's playing and he's fine. However, the OTHER news reports say he had an x-ray AND an MRI, while also wearing a walking boot today and not practicing.

If I had to give my educated opinion, Ainge will play and lose the little mobility he had. LSU's defensive philosophy will greatly hinge on what they see in his ankle in the first 2 series. If he's able to move in the pocket when they pressure, they may play more nickel. If he can't, expect blitzes often.

Agree on the BC -3.5 pick....

Wake is really beat up at RB, word from practice today is Kenny Moore (a WR) will get a lot of snaps at tailback Saturday and he hasn't played the position since high school. The other healthy guys are just terrible. Combine that with BC's good run defense and it could really put us in a bind.

Atmosphere on campus this week is really crazy....I'm sure the Deacs will put out a fantastic effort.

Another 5 unit play:

Fresno State @ Boise State (-13.5 1stH)

I don't like the game line because I think Fresno more than likely covers it in the 4th. I looooooooove the first half line. Easily could be a 21-7, 24-10, 20-3 type half. EASILY.

Loving the Eagles this week. They are playing their best football of the year.

Love the winners.

Right side, right outcome. Fresno took the lead 7-3, and when Boise was up 17-7 with 3 minutes left and were driving, I knew I had the right side, even if I lost.

You know, I kind of like Pittsburgh too but I think we're the only two who do. I don't understand why more people aren't in favor of this pick, but it makes me a little uneasy. I'm in Pittsburgh and the people here are not jumping on it either.
