But generally, I'd say it's the reader's responsibility to be, let's say, diligent in being sure they aren't being duped by fake numbers. If people did that more often, Frank Luntz (sp?) would be out of a job.

If CNN is reporting a fundraising number they are getting straight from a candidates page, they have to denote that somehow. I get as pissed off as anyone when the media marginalizes and treats RP unfairly, but complaining about something like this is grasping for straws and intentionally trying to be insulted.

I would probably not offer 2:1 anymore, but certainly 1.5:1. Maybe you're right that I probably would have lost the bet.
