Default Absolute Nuts = Meh (2+2 Magazine contribution)

Few players, even those advanced enough to be familiar with such principles as astrological seating and dealer selection are well versed in the topic which I am about to discuss.

David Sklansky knows that "bluffing is an extremely important aspect of poker." (TOP 165)

When holding the absolute nuts, however, it is clearly impossible to run a successful bluff. Therefore, one cannot reasonably expect to make money bluffing when holding this type of hand. And yet if we are reasonable players ourselves, we need to be bluffing in spots such as these. Obviously better hands will never be folding.

These new concepts necessitate the addition of deception to any reasonable players game. They may also be responsible for the accusations of rigging on stars and tilt.

Do you see why?
